Weekend Flea Market Finds

Nothing makes me happier than hunting through a Flea Market on a bright Sunday Morning.

It’s the thrill of the hunt for me. The unexpected find that you didn’t know you needed that you absolutely need now.

Candese and I met up bright and early in our messy clothes. We were ready to dig for the goodies!

Take a closer look at each item we found below!

Vintage Scottish Terrier Ceramic - “Scotty Dog”

They are “diggers” at heart. Did you know this breed was bred to hunt and kill vermin on farms?

I thought these two would pair nicely in a dog display. I found another item below that would go with them!

Brass Tennis Ball

I burst into laughter when I found this guy. I also knew my dogs would love this! Still curious about its history ,but pictured it staged with the set of Scotty Dogs I found.

Antique Coffee Grinder

Did you know Antique coffee grinders range in value depending on factors such as style, condition, type, materials, maker, design and age? Some are worth more if they are made by a prestigious manufacturing company or are of a special type.

Vintage 1930s Uncle Sam's 3 Coin Register Bank

This bank operated like this: the penny bank locked on the first cent and would open after $1 in pennies was deposited. it would take $10 in dimes to unlock the dime bank.

Antique Lambrecht Stoneware Butter Crock

Lambrecht Creamery, a large Milwaukee producer of dairy products was in business from 1909 until some time in the 1940's. These crocks were kept in the “ice box” at that time.

Vintage Pelouze scale

This scale was founded by William Nelson Pelouze in Chicago. This postage scale was the best of its kind with its design dating back to 1903.

Antique Wood Clamp

When I found this, I remember thinking I love the look of this but I’m not sure what it is. I actually had trouble finding an exact match of it online. It’s curved shape is a bit unusual compared to most antique wood clamps- but that makes me like it even more!

Half Gallon Crown Whisky Jug

Antique stoneware crocks once played an integral role in kitchens by allowing foods like butter to be stored and pickled vegetables to be made in watertight containers before the invention of refrigeration.

Here are a few more finds from this weekend! I’ve add these pieces into my hutch, entryway and kitchen. Giving those spaces the character they needed. However, I’m not done!

Stay tuned for my next antiquing adventure! And Thanks so much for tuning in!
