Mateo’s Nursery
I can hardly believe the time has come and I am blogging about Mateo’s nursery! I often thought about writing this post and sharing the sweetest nursery for our bundle of joy. When I envisioned his nursery, I thought of it has calm and serene. I fully admit I am totally a make all things monochromatic type of person.
I think of myself as a basic betty when it comes to paint colors for our walls. While my fiancé is all for bringing on the color, me not so much. I prefer to add color with decor elements. I knew pretty much from the time I found out that I was pregnant that the nursery would be painted a greige with pops of sage green and earth tones. The color comes in with the details!
We have not actually had Mateo sleep in his crib yet, he has been in his bassinet next to my side of the bed for now. Once we actually start using the crib, I will update you on my thoughts. The dresser came from target and is by Little Seeds - Monarch Hill Haven 6 Drawer Kids Dresser. My fiance, mom and I decided to assemble all the furniture ourselves and found it fairly easy to do.
I love the small storage side table under the reading wall I created. The side table also came from target and is called Halle 3 Wicker Basket Storage Side Table - Safavieh. The floating shelves I used to create the reading wall came from amazon along with some other small details that I will share with you below.
The glider chair is my favorite! It is very supportive, yet comfortable at 3 am lol ! I purchased the swivel glider from amazon as well, but it can also be found at target - Babyletto Toco Swivel Glider and Stationary Ottoman.
Creating this space for our boy was my favorite project around our home. It’s simple and truly brings us so much joy. We used the color Gracious Greige by Sherwin Williams. I love how this simple, small room transformed into the perfect nursery. I feel this room can easily evolve for the remainder of our time in this home until we build (which I can’t wait to share with you all when the time comes). I hope we can inspire you to design your perfect quant, timeless nursery too!
